Pen & Ink – Drawing to Printmaking – Intermediate

 

Course Description:

This intermediate course builds on existing Pen & Ink drawing skills and introduces learners to the creative world of printmaking. Using drawing as the starting point, learners will explore how images can be transformed through a variety of print processes, developing an understanding of composition, texture, space, and design for reproduction. Over six weeks, learners will experiment with relief printing techniques using both traditional and alternative materials. The course encourages creative exploration, layering, mark-making, and the adaptation of hand-drawn imagery into original printed works.

Ideal for learners who have completed a Pen & Ink course or have some prior drawing experience, this course offers an exciting next step into expressive and experimental printmaking practice through KritiKreatz.

Course Day & Time:  Tuesday evening 7.00 – 9.00 pm

Experience Level: Suitable for learners with some drawing or Pen & Ink experience

Cost: € (This includes all printmaking materials & tools for course)

Course Format: In the classroom with tutor

Duration: 8 weeks – Maximum of 8 students in class

Tutor: Kriti Khatri

Kriti is an international Artist and Designer from India who is currently residing in Dublin. She completed her Masters in Design from The National Institute of Design and Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Delhi in India. She has closely worked with industries and
conducted workshops for the naval academy in India. Before moving to Ireland she was teaching as an assistant professor in various Design Institute and Universities. Her strength of working with materials and passion for Art and Design brought her new opportunities in Ireland. Today she is a member of DCCI and has been actively conducting workshops, design installation, and has been participating in events like Culture Night, Gifted at RDS, Clonmel Junction Arts Festival and many more across Ireland.
