Course Description:

This course is designed for adults who have recently arrived and are living and working in Ireland for whom English is not their first language 

This course aims to help people to make a life in Ireland through English and deal successfully with all the situations that will arise at home, socially and work. In this class you will learn to communicate in an effective manner in everyday situations such as shopping, ordering food, directions etc.
This course will give you the opportunity to learn and practice the language
Course content:
  • Speaking – learning and practising useful phrases for speaking situations
  • Listening – Improving your listening skills
  • Writing – improve your writing which is relevant to your work and personal life
  • Reading – Improving your reading skills
  • Grammar – Using grammar more accurately
  • Vocabulary – Increasing your vocabulary
  • Pronunciation – Improving pronunciation through speaking and listening 
Entry Requirements:
No formal entry requirement.  Please note this course is NOT suitable for highly proficient users of English. This course is suited for beginners

Course Day & Time: Monday evenings 7.30 – 9.30

Start Date: 27/01/25
