Pottery – Suitable for Beginner – Thursday’s Class

 

 

Course Description:

This class is suitable for complete beginners to pottery. Students will design and create pottery pieces with both functional and decorative applications, from the planning and creating process to the final glazed form.

Techniques demoed include pinching, coiling, slab construction and how to plan and create your own work.
Structure of classes subject to change.

The intention of this class is to teach new skills within a relaxed, friendly environment.

Week 4: Surface techniques

Week 6: Project Planning
                  Maquette Making
                  Personal Projects

Week 7: Personal Projects

Week 8: Glazing/ Collection of Work

Course Day & Time: Thursday evening 7.00 – 9.30 

Start Date: 22/09/2022 

Cost: €130

(Please note a tool kit for this class is available to purchase from the tutor for an additional  €20 paid to the tutor on the first night of the class. No need to buy this kit if you have your own tools)

Course Format: In class with tutor (Maximum of 10 students)
