Malahide Community School Adult Education Covid-19 Guidelines 

  • We will be following all guidelines as advised by the Government and the HSE.
  • With effect from Monday 28 February, the following advice applies in relation to COVID-19 Symptoms, Cases, Close Contacts & International Travel.   • On each night of class, a designated Covid officer will be present. This person will ensure all necessary hygiene and other guidelines are adhered to in relation to Covid 19.
  • Mask Wearing is no longer compulsory for either Tutors or Learners. However if tutors or learners wish to continue wearing face masks or coverings, they may do so.
  • The requirement to stay at home if you have symptoms remains – for Learners and Tutors alike.  Critical components of the collective response in relation to COVID-19 continue to apply, including self-isolation if symptomatic (even if fully vaccinated/boosted)  or if having a positive COVID-19 test
  • Social Distancing and  Pods are no longer required. However class numbers will remain small thus giving students the option to separate out and maintain social distance if they wish in the classroom

  • Class Times: 7.30 – 9.30 unless stated otherwise
  • Course Duration: 10 weeks for most courses (some courses are more and less, see your particular course
  • All students must be fully enrolled before entering the school to start your class.
  • Phone and online booking only. We cannot accept walk in enrollment
  • Enrolment Night: there will not be a walk in enrolment session taking place prior to the commencement of term.
  • The use of Hand Sanitisers, and the measures about Respiratory Hygiene and sanitising desks will continue
  • Good Ventilation must be maintained. Please leave your door open and windows partially or fully open.
  • We encourage students not to share  equipment where possible
  • Health Issue: anybody with a serious underlying health issue is advised not to attend the school for classes.  
  • Opt In: If adults enroll for Face to Face classes in the school they do so in the knowledge there are still daily confirmations of new cases of Covid-19 in the Community.
  • Attendance Records: Class tutors will maintain attendance records for all in school attended classes.
  • Classes are available to attend face to face in the school with the tutor. In the event of a local or national lockdown classes may move to online learning
  • For online classes, email addresses will be shared with tutors

 

Government Guidelines: Classes may have to be moved online or postponed or cancelled if the Government advises in the event of a major resurgence of Covid-19.  Please check the Government & HSE.ie for the latest Covid 19 updates.
